Braehead

Braehead farmhouse is a 'B' listed natural granite property built circa 1830, receiving its listing status in February 1986. By 1991 the property had deteriorated to such an extent that it was added to the Buildings at Risk Register.
we were approached by the owners to alter and extend the existing property to create a large family home. Split across three storeys - including a basement - the property features five spacious bedrooms. There are two at the basement level, the remainder on the second floor. The first floor of the existing property was split in two to form public and private living spaces.
A large extension to the west forms an open-plan kitchen, dining and family area. The extension to the north allows for the fifth bedroom, with utility and boot room areas on the ground floor.
Externally, the property has a lime render finish and a natural slate roof.
