Corrachree-Tarland-Extension-Listed Building (2)

Corrachree House

Corrachree House, located on the outskirts of Tarland, was constructed in 1842 for Lt Col John Farquharson of the East India Company. Designed by Aberdeen-based Architect James Henderson, the Victorian property is an example of late neo-classical architecture. Corrachree House was Listed in April 1979, category 'B'.

Planning and Listed Building Consent was granted to carry out alterations throughout the house to elevate the almost two-century-old property to a modern standard of living, complete with a zinc-clad courtyard extension. Corrachree House provides a large family home with all the comforts expected of modern living./h6>
